Jamal Agnew Placed On Injured Reserve, Out For Season
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Jamal Agnew (hip) was placed on injured reserve after suffering a season-ending hip injury. Agnew has surprisingly taken on a significant role in the Jacksonville offense while being an excellent kick returner. Since D.J. Chark (ankle) was placed on injured reserve, Agnew has seen an uptick in usage that many expected Laviska Shenault Jr. to receive. Shenault could now see an increase in usage down the stretch, so he could be worth a look on the waiver wire. His skillset is one in which head coach Urban Meyer tends to integrate into his offense, so it wouldn't be surprising for the sophomore's role in the passing game to increase moving forward, as well as some more opportunities as a ball-carrier that we saw Agnew get as well. Marvin Jones will operate as the team's top target on the outside, while tight end Dan Arnold could be at best second in line for targets from Trevor Lawrence.
