Jameis Winston On The Week 2 Injury Report

2 years agoNew Orleans Saints quarterback Jameis Winston (back) was listed as a limited practice participant on Wednesday with a back injury, which is why he went into the injury tent in the Week 1 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The Saints don't sound too worried about Winston's injury after he went 23-for-34 for 269 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions in the season-opening come-from-behind victory. Barring a setback on Thursday or Friday, the 28-year-old should make the start in Week 2 against the division-rival Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tampa's defense shut down a mediocre Cowboys offense in Week 1 and will be bringing plenty of pressure against Winston this weekend.
