Jameis Winston Sustains Season-Ending Knee Injury Sunday
3 years agoThe New Orleans Saints' worst fears about quarterback Jameis Winston (knee) became a reality Monday, as per Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Winston has sustained a torn ACL, ending his season abruptly. Winston is also believed to have sustained damage to his MCL, further highlighting the damage that he took before leaving Sunday's win over Tampa Bay. In place of Winston, Trevor Siemian put together a strong effort, throwing for 159 yards and a touchdown. New Orleans also has Taysom Hill in the QB room, who after starting four games as a signal caller in 2020, could throw his name in the mix to start during the second half of the season as well.
