James Conner Likely To Be Game-Time Decision Monday
3 years agoArizona Cardinals head coach Kliff Kingsbury said that running backs James Conner (heel, ribs) and Jonathan Ward (knee) will likely be game-time decisions on Monday night against the Los Angeles Rams to close out super wild-card weekend. Conner missed Weeks 16 and 17 with his heel injury but returned to play in the Week 18 regular season finale, where he injured his ribs. Chase Edmonds (ribs, toe) sat out the regular season finale, too, so the Cardinals backfield is extremely beat up right now. We'll have to keep a close eye on their practice statuses as we approach Monday's game, but needless to say, Conner is currently an extremely risky DFS pick at his $6,200 price tag on DraftKings (fifth-highest among RBs). When healthy, Conner has been the superior back over Edmonds this year, rushing 202 times for 752 yards and 15 touchdowns while adding 37 catches for 375 yards and three more scores.
