James Conner Sees Eight Touches, Leaves With Ankle Injury
4 years agoPittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner struggled in a 26-16 win over the New York Giants in Week 1. Conner saw six carries for nine yards and added two receptions for eight yards in the win before leaving early with an ankle injury. The ankle injury is yet another disappointing setback for Conner, who missed six games in 2019 with assorted injuries. Even worse for Conner owners is the fact that Benny Snell Jr. went for 113 yards as his injury replacement. For what it is worth, Conner was spotted pacing on the sidelines after the injury and didn't appear to be in much pain. His status is unclear for his team's Week 2 matchup against the Denver Broncos. Either way, fantasy gamers will want to check in on Snell's status for this week's waiver run.
