James Kaprielian Struggles With Control At Texas
3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher James Kaprielian allowed two runs in five innings while taking a no-decision against the Rangers on Saturday. The rookie struggled with his command in this one as he allowed four walks. He also gave up four hits with two being home runs so Kaprielian was lucky to escape this outing with limited damage to his otherwise strong first half of the season. The left-hander heads into the All-Star break with a 4-3 record, 2.90 ERA, 1.11 WHIP, and 66 strikeouts across 62 innings. He's got a strong 27 percent strikeout rate while holding batters to a .197 batting average against. He should be rostered in all fantasy leagues and started when he has a good matchup.
