3 years agoOakland Athletics starting pitcher James Kaprielian allowed one run in seven innings with 10 strikeouts in a home start against the Red Sox on Sunday. The outing matched his longest of the season, but Kaprielian was still saddled with the loss as he was out-dueled by Nick Pivetta. The right-hander induced a whopping 20 swinging strikes on just 97 pitches as he's been a revelation for the A's and fantasy managers alike. Kaprielian has lasted at least five innings in 10 of his 11 starts this season and has allowed more than three runs just once. He should be started in all leagues versus Texas in his next outing,--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
