3 years agoCleveland Indians relief pitcher James Karinchak recorded his sixth save of 2021 in Tuesday night's 4-1 win over the Detroit Tigers by allowing no earned runs on one hit and one walk while striking out two. Karinchak was brought into the ninth with men on first and second and nobody out and allowed an inherited runner to score on a Jonathan Schoop single, but that was all the damage that was done and the run was credited to Aaron Civale's stat line. Karinchak will carry a 1.25 ERA and 40 strikeouts in 21 1/3 innings pitched into his next appearance.--Kipp Heisterman - RotoBaller
