3 years agoCleveland Indians relief pitcher James Karinchak allowed two earned runs on one walk and one hit while striking out none in a 7-4 win over the Detroit Tigers on Friday. Karinchak got into trouble again in this one when he walked Jeimer Candelario to lead off the bottom of the ninth inning and then allowed a two-run bomb by Renato Nunez. Karinchak has now allowed eight earned runs in his previous seven appearances. While this was not a save opportunity, he could certainly be losing his chance to close games out down the stretch.--Kipp Heisterman - RotoBaller
