4 years agoNew York Mets catcher James McCann remained red hot on Sunday going 1-for-4 with a two-run home run against the San Diego Padres. It was the second home run in the Mets four-game series against San Diego for McCann. McCann is now slashing .357/.357/.857 over his last seven games with four HR, 11 RBI, and six runs scored. Because of a miserable start to the season, McCann lost some playing time to Mets backup catcher Tomas Nido. The additional rest seems to have worked wonders for McCann's bat. McCann remains relevant in two-catcher and NL-only formats. He is also useful as a stop-gap, steaming option in one-catcher leagues as the Mets head to hitter-friendly Camden Yards for a two-game series against the Orioles beginning on Tuesday.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
