James McCann Hits Ninth Home Run On Saturday
3 years agoNew York Mets catcher James McCann went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in the Mets 5-3 loss to the Phillies on Saturday. The homer was McCann's ninth of the season, in what has been a disappointing year for the backstop. Much like the rest of the Mets struggling offense, McCann has just five hits over his last 24 at-bats (.208). Overall, McCann is batting just .246/.310/.372 with nine homers and 34 RBI in 92 games. Regularly batting at the bottom of the Mets lineup, McCann's fantasy upside is significantly limited. In one-catcher formats, McCann is, at best, a weekly streaming option where managers have lost their primary catchers due to injury.
