3 years agoNew York Jets quarterback James Morgan was released by the organization on Tuesday. Both Morgan and veteran Josh Johnson were cut in order to finalize the 53-man roster. However, Johnson was brought back on the practice squad, but Morgan's time in New York is over. The former fourth-round pick will head to the Carolina Panthers on Wednesday. Morgan was added to their practice squad, but don't expect much from him. Maybe, the Panthers believe it'll be a benefit to have Sam Darnold and Morgan together since they were teammates last season.
