6 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton (knee) felt good Wednesday after his bullpen session the day before. Paxton is throwing with a knee brace to limit the likelihood of re-injury to a knee that has been bothering him all season. Paxton’s next bullpen is scheduled for Friday and more information should follow that session. From the time Paxton went on the injured list, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said he does not expect this to be a long-term stint and a rehab trip would not likely be needed. If Paxton gets through the bullpen session unscathed Friday, the Yankees will likely have him back in the rotation soon after that.--Walt Clark
