6 years agoSeattle Mariners starter James Paxton will take the mound Thursday night to face the Angels for the first time this season in Anaheim. In 11 career starts against the Angels, Paxton is 4-2 with a 2.07 ERA. Paxton on the road this season has also pitched well, going 4-1 with a 3.45 ERA with 79 strikeouts in 62 2/3 innings pitched through 10 starts. The big left-hander has punched out at least nine hitters in five of his last six starts and now has 154 strikeouts for the season. All of these trends point to a strong performance from Paxton and he needs to be active in all formats.--Joey C - RotoBaller
