James Paxton K's 10-Plus For Sixth Time This Season
7 years agoSeattle Mariners starter James Paxton pitched seven strong innings of two-run baseball as the Mariners edged the Orioles 3-2 on Tuesday. Paxton (7-2) struck out 10 hitters while walking only one on 92 pitches to pick up his first win since June 10. The big left-hander bounced back from two rocky outings to lower his ERA to 3.65 with a WHIP of 1.11. The Mariners ace has now struck out at least 10 hitters in six starts this season and has at least seven K's in 11 starts. He currently is averaging a career-best 11.6 strikeouts per nine innings and is, by far, the best fantasy starter on the Mariners moving forward.
