James Paxton Looks Dominant In Simulated Game
4 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher James Paxton (back) reportedly looked dominant in his first simulated game since undergoing offseason back surgery. Paxton is effectively a lock to be ready for the start of the season barring any additional injuries, and the 31-year-old should be a solid fantasy pitcher this season. After increasing his curveball usage in the last two months of last season Paxton posted an impressive 2.51 ERA with 69 strikeouts over 61 innings, and he should be able to maintain a high strikeout rate in 2020. Fantasy owners should expect Paxton to be fully healthy this year, and he should post an ERA around 3.50 with a strikeout rate near 30%.
