6 years agoSeattle Mariners starting pitcher James Paxton (illness) is dealing with a virus and won't travel with the team to face the Angels this weekend in Anaheim, according to manager Scott Servais. It means that the left-hander won't get to face the Angels in a favorable matchup this weekend. Paxton has been the team's best starter this year, going 11-6 with a 3.83 ERA, 1.10 WHIP and career-high 11.6 K/9 over 26 starts.
