James Robinson Avoids Serious Injury
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson (foot) avoided a serious injury and will be considered day-to-day, leaving his status for Week 9 against the Buffalo Bills in question. If he is to be held out of action, Carlos Hyde will take over as the starter and should have a significant role, albeit against an extremely tough Buffalo defense. Hyde handled nine carries for 32 yards and caught six passes for 40 yards after Robinson exited the 31-7 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, so he should take on a workhorse role like Robinson has if he is to miss some time. Still, Hyde doesn't seem like an intriguing option in what would likely be another negative game script for running backs against the Bills, but his usage in the passing game could heighten his floor.
