James Robinson Could Return To A Big Role
2 years agoJacksonville Jaguars running back James Robinson (Achilles) is expected to have a large role in the offense whenever he returns, with head coach Doug Pederson calling him a three-down back in March. Robinson was on a tear last year before his Achilles injury in Week 8 derailed his season, as he had rushed 88 times for 482 yards and was eighth in the NFL in rushing yards, seventh in rushing scores and sixth in yards per attempt. When he has been 100%, he has been one of the best players at his position in the entire league. However, although Robinson's recovery has been going well, the team is still in wait-and-see mode with training camp approaching, and Travis Etienne has looked fully recovered from a Lisfranc foot injury that kept him out his entire rookie season. As a result, Etienne is being valued as an RB2 with upside in fantasy, while Robinson is a late-round flier currently.
