James Robinson To Be "Certified Centerpiece Of Offense"
3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars second-year running back James Robinson projects for a heavy workload this season following news that Travis Etienne Jr. is out for the season due to foot surgery. Robinson handled a whopping 289 touches in his rookie season last year on his way to finishing as the RB7 in PPR formats, so he's proven that he can handle a featured role. The question around Robinson now becomes — how high is too high to take him in drafts? Robinson projects as a rock-solid RB2 at the very least, but Carlos Hyde has been involved enough in the preseason that it would be somewhat surprising to see Robinson approach 300 touches in 2021, though it's hardly out of the question. Robinson should be drafted in the third or fourth round in most leagues, and he has more volume-related upside than just about any other RB2 on the board.
