James White Still Walking With Limp
2 years agoNew England Patriots running back James White (hip) was still walking with what appeared to be an uncomfortable gait following a community appearance last Wednesday. White is scheduled to report to training camp next week, where it should become more clear how close he is to a possible return. "Just working so I can be the best player I can be whenever I step out on that field," White said. The 30-year-old played in just three games in 2021 before needing season-ending hip surgery, but he showed good chemistry with quarterback Mac Jones and could once again be New England's primary pass-catching option out of the backfield if he's healthy. But the Patriots backfield is crowded with Damien Harris, Rhamondre Stevenson and rookie Pierre Strong Jr., so White will be a late-round flier in PPR leagues, at best.
