2 years agoWashington Nationals outfield prospect James Wood had a nice debut for Single-A Fredericksburg on Friday. Wood, who was one of the pieces in the Juan Soto deal with the San Diego Padres went 4-for-6 with a homer, three RBI and a stolen base. The 19-year-old provides both power and speed out of a big 6'7 frame and his body should continue to mature as he develops throughout the Nationals system. In addition to showing power early in his career, Wood has shown a good plate discipline. Still in just Single-A, Wood remains a few years away from the big leagues, but is a name for dynasty managers to keep tabs on.--Daniel Burdeen - RotoBaller
