6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon went 6 1/3 innings, allowing four runs (three earned) on five hits while striking out five and walking two in a 7-5 win over Texas on Wednesday. The right-hander served up two solo shots in the sixth and seventh innings, which was where the majority of his damage came from. Taillon hasn't been the ace many expected him to be coming into this year, but through 37 1/3 innings he's 2-3 with a 30:8 K:BB but has dealt with some terrible luck behind him. Seven of the runs he's allowed have been unearned, thus extending some of his outings. Taillon gets these same Rangers next Tuesday, this time at home, where hopefully he is able to work longer and quiet the surging offense.--Steve Janik - RotoBaller
