3 years agoNew York Yankees first baseman Luke Voit said that he's seen starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (ankle) throwing and that he looks good. Taillon and other Yankees pitchers have been working out together while the sport remains in a lockout. The 30-year-old right-hander had right ankle surgery on Oct. 28 of last year and didn't have any setbacks during his winter throwing program. Taillon should be ready to go whenever the 2022 season gets underway, and the regular season being pushed back could actually help him in the long run. In 29 starts before his injury in 2021, Taillon went 8-6 with a 4.30 ERA and 1.20 WHIP while striking out 140 hitters and walking 44 in 144 1/3 innings over 29 starts for the Yanks.
