Jameson Taillon Records 10th Win
2 years agoNew York Yankees starting pitcher Jameson Taillon improved to 10-2 on the season as his club dismantled the Red Sox 14-1 on Saturday. Taillon allowed a run to score in the opening frame on a Rafael Devers homer, but he would go on to retire the last 17 batters he faced to cruise to an easy victory behind his offense. He finished the contest by allowing two hits while walking none and striking out five, throwing just 79 pitches in the outing. It was a tremendous bounce-back game for the right-hander who had allowed 11 earned runs over his previous two games and 20 runs over his last four. He'll sport a 3.86 ERA and 1.13 WHIP with an 82/12 K/BB through 100 1/3 IP to finish off his first half.
