Jameson Taillon Throws Complete-Game Shutout
7 years agoPittsburgh Pirates pitcher Jameson Taillon tossed his first career complete-game shutout in a 5-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds on Sunday. The right-hander mowed down Reds hitters with ease, striking out seven while allowing only one hit, two walks, and a hit by pitch on the afternoon. The 2018 season couldn't be off to a better start for the 26-year-old, who is now 2-0 with a 1.26 ERA, 16 strikeouts, and only two walks through two starts. He'll get a juicy matchup against a weak Miami Marlins team in his next outing on Saturday.
