Jameson Taillon Throws From 90 Feet
5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (elbow) threw from 90 feet Tuesday. Taillon hasn't pitched since May 1 because of a flexor strain and still has many obstacles to clear before we see the tall righty on a Major League mound. Taillon pitched to a 3.20 ERA last season supported by a 3.46 FIP. He set a new career-high in swinging-strike rate last season at 10.7, a number he raised to 11.8 percent in 37 1/3 innings so far this season. The Pirates seem optimistic Taillon can return by the end of August, just in time for the fantasy playoffs. He remains a solid stash candidate if you have IL spots to play with.
