Jameson Taillon Will Play Catch This Weekend
5 years agoPittsburgh Pirates starting pitcher Jameson Taillon (elbow) is expected to play catch this weekend, marking the first time that he has done so since early May. While him tossing the ball is encouraging, the big right-hander is probably still at least a couple of weeks away from returning to action. If everything goes well, Taillon, who is currently on the 60-day injured list with a flexor strain in his right elbow, will likely throw a simulated game and then go on a rehab assignment before pitching for the Pirates. The 27-year-old has been up and down this year, posting a 2-3 record with a 4.04 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. He has thrown more than 90 pitches just once in his seven outings this season.
