Jamison Crowder Has Looked Solid
2 years agoBuffalo Bills speedy wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie appears to have an early lead in the battle to take over Cole Beasley's slot receiver role in 2022, but veteran Jamison Crowder looked solid during offseason workouts in his first year with the team. Crowder dealt with injuries in his final year with the New York Jets, but he might have found a good fit with the Bills. The competition between McKenzie and Crowder for playing time in the slot will be one to watch in training camp. The 29-year-old played in only 12 games in 2021 and finished with 51 catches for 447 yards and two touchdowns, but he managed 833 yards and six touchdowns as recently as 2019 with the Jets, and Crowder could be a sleeper in the slot if he wins the competition and gains quarterback Josh Allen's trust.
