Jamison Crowder, Jets Renegotiate Contract To Keep Him In NY
3 years agoThe New York Jets and wide receiver Jamison Crowder have renegotiated his contract for the 2021 season, keeping him on the team for another year at least. Crowder was a rumored cut candidate throughout the offseason thanks to a $10 million cap hit in non-guaranteed money. Now Crowder will be a veteran presence to mentor a young wide receiver corps and serve as a safety blanket for rookie quarterback Zach Wilson in New York. Despite the reworked deal, Crowder can still become an unrestricted free agent after the 2021 season. He is coming off a 59-catch, 699-yard, six-touchdown season over 12 games in 2020 and should serve as a low-end WR3 in PPR leagues this year. Fantasy gamers hoping to count on rookie slot receiver Elijah Moore will probably have to wait until the 2022 season.
