Jamison Crowder A Solid Start Despite Jets QB Change
5 years agoNew York Jets wide receiver Jamison Crowder is a solid start in fantasy despite the news that backup quarterback Trevor Siemian will start in place of Sam Darnold (illness) on Monday night against the Browns.. Crowder tied a Jets franchise record for catches in a game with 14 in Week 1 and saw a whopping 17 targets. Last time Siemian was a starter for Denver in 2017, he ranked 27th in the league in both air yards and pass-attempt distance, so he'll likely be checking down to Crowder often, especially behind a suspect offensive line. Most of the Jets offensive weapons should be downgraded with Siemian at QB, but fantasy owners can still plug in Crowder as a WR4/flex play with higher upside in PPR formats.
