6 years agoWashington Redskins wide receiver Jamison Crowder caught four of his eight targets for 55 yards on Monday against New Orleans. The eight targets are good for a season high, which is encouraging if it continues. Two factors exist to suggest that it might not, however. The first of these is that Alex Smith attempted 39 passes, and it's becoming increasingly clear that the Redskins' offense is more effective when he doesn't have to air it out. The second is that Jordan Reed was targeted just twice, and it's difficult to imagine that becoming a trend. Crowder may well emerge as a go-to option in the passing game going forward, but we need to see more evidence before counting on it.--Chris O'Reilly
