Jared Bernhardt Visits With Broncos
3 years agoFormer Maryland lacrosse player Jared Bernhardt, who transferred to Ferris State and led them to the Division 2 National Championship as a quarterback, had a top-30 visit with the Denver Broncos on Wednesday. Bernhardt will be a wide receiver/kick returner in the NFL. He's considered a long shot to get drafted, but it's not unheard of for college quarterbacks to find success as receivers in the NFL. Julian Edelman, Brad Smith, Matt Jones, Antwaan Randle-El, Braxton Miller, Josh Cribbs and Armanti Edwards made the move from QB to WR. Even if Bernhardt doesn't get drafted, he could land on a team's roster as an undrafted free agent.
