4 years agoJared Cannonier gave it his best effort on Saturday night but was unable to outdo the top-ranked middleweight fighter in Robert Whittaker. Cannonier landed 53 significant strikes (58 total strikes) along with stuffing both of Whittaker's takedown attempts. After starting out strong and attacking Whittaker's leg, by the end of the third round, Whittaker had taken control, leaving Cannonier looking like he was out of options to pull out the victory. Cannonier will always have knockout power in his hands, and it would not be surprising if he lands a big knockout his next time out.--Matt Bricker - RotoBaller
