3 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is not likely to play Saturday in the team's second preseason game against the Steelers. Head coach Dan Campbell intimated as much Thursday as the team is dealing with a slew of injuries. "I'll tell you this," Campbell told reporters Thursday, "This had been in my head for about a week. I'm starting to think about, you know, maybe sitting a few of these guys. A select few veterans is kind of what I'm thinking right now. I'm not there yet, I want to see how we get through this practice too. That will play a lot into it." Goff has endured a bumpy training camp with his new team and the coaching staff must protect him from injury so he can be ready to roll with Week 1 approaching.--Joey C - RotoBaller
