Jared Goff Plays Two Series Against Bills
3 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff completed 7-of-9 passes for 56 yards and leading the offense down the field for a field goal in the teams first preseason game of the year. Goff played only two series and the first attempt was a shaky mess as Goff missed on his first throw attempt and was sacked two plays later. The offense trended in a better direction the second time out as Goff played mostly the underneath game as a 18-play drive led to a field goal. Goff was able to connect with receiver Tyrell Williams for a 20-yard catch at set the Lions up to score and also targeted rookie Amon-Ra St. Brown twice. Goff is with a new team in a new system surrounded by untested talent on offense and his level of comfort in the scheme will take some time.
