Jared Goff Likely To Miss Week 16 Against Atlanta
3 years agoDetroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is not expected to take the field for Sunday's game vs. the Falcons, head coach Dan Campbell revealed Friday. Goff landed on the Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier in the week, a move that paved the way for either Tim Boyle to prepare for his second start of the season or David Blough to make his first start. Filling in for Goff back in Week 11, Boyle went 15-for-23 for just 77 yards, throwing a pair of interceptions in his first NFL start. Goff delivered an impressive three-touchdown performance last Sunday, exceeding the 3,000-yard passing mark for the fifth consecutive season. The Falcons defense jumps into both DFS and season-long consideration, with the latter more of a waiver-wire pivot in medium-sized or larger formats. Fantasy managers will want to downgrade Detroit's pass-catchers with Goff likely to sit out on Sunday.
