3 years agoMinnesota Wild defenseman Jared Spurgeon had a goal and assist in Sunday's 6-3 victory over the Kings to tie a franchise record for the longest point streak by a defenseman. He now finds himself on a seven-game streak. Ryan Suter set the record in 2013-14 and Matt Dumba was the last Wild blue-liner to reach a seven-game streak in 2018-19. Spurgeon has taken his tally for the season to 36 points, and he also sits on 69 blocks through 56 games.
