4 years agoDespite suffering a decent-sized cut on his forehead, Jared Vanderaa (12-5) dominated the striking exchanges to take the unanimous decision over Justin Tafa on Saturday. Vanderaa had an amazing outpouring of striking, landing 121 significant strikes (141 total strikes) through 15 minutes of action. With neither fighter attempting a takedown, this one was going to be won or lost by Vanderaa in the striking department. With the win, Vanderaa earned his first UFC win. Tafa is a very tough opponent, but Vanderaa showed that he has the ability to go the distance and put the pressure on.
