3 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Jared Wash (side) isn't in the starting lineup for Tuesday's game against the Colorado Rockies. He left Monday's contest early with side pain and will undergo additional tests. The 27-year-old felt something in his side on Monday, but the trainers don't believe the injury is serious. He is considered day-to-day for now. Phil Gosselin is batting third and will handle first base duties in Tuesday's contest. Gosselin can be used as a streamer against southpaws, as he's hitting a robust .359 with a homer, 10 RBI and an .899 OPS over 70 plate appearances against them in 2021.--Brad Camara - RotoBaller
