4 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Jared Walsh will be excited to leave Spring Training behind when regular season games begin on Thursday. It's been a quiet performance for the 27-year-old, slashing only .209/.280/.233 with only one extra-base hit through 43 exhibition at-bats. Walsh is coming off a promising 2020 shortened season that saw the slugger end the season white-hot. Over his final 22 games last year, Walsh slashed an impressive .337/.368/.744 with two triples, four doubles, nine home runs and 26 runs batted in. The Angels have envisioned a larger role for Walsh this season and should get an ample leash to work through any ineffectiveness he has shown in Spring Training. Walsh is a roll of the dice in standard fantasy formats but could become an asset over time during the 2021 season.--Joey C - RotoBaller
