4 years agoLos Angeles Angels first baseman Jared Walsh will head into Monday's action swinging a hot bat. The 27-year-old played the hero Sunday night by smacking two home runs, including a game-winning three-run homer, and has four hits over his last eight at-bats. Walsh is in line to split time at first base with future Hall of Famer Albert Pujols this season but don't be surprised if Walsh eventually takes over the position full-time. The left-handed slugger posted a .970 OPS in 32 games last season, including a torrid 22-game finish to the season that saw him slash .337/.368/.744 during that span.--Joey C - RotoBaller
