Jarred Kelenic Goes Hitless In Third Straight Game
3 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic went hitless once again on Thursday, as he finished 0-for-3 with a walk and two strikeouts in a 4-1 loss to Oakland. Much to the disappointment of fantasy managers everywhere, Kelenic is still struggling in his second stint in the majors, as he has gone 0-for-10 over his last three games, and is 3-for-23 with one walk and 11 strikeouts since rejoining Seattle. There appears to be a certain amount of unluckiness affecting Kelenic this year based on his Statcast metrics, however it doesn't show much sign of improvement as he currently owns a .176 xBA and .290 xSLG. Managers in dynasty leagues should still hang on to him for his potential, but he's going to actively hurt managers in redraft leagues and should be dumped to the waiver wire.
