4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic made his first start since returning from a Grade 2 adductor strain on Saturday against the White Sox, and looked no worse for wear. Playing in center field, Kelenic went 2-for-3 with a double while scoring one run and driving in another. He also showed off his arm in the outfield, throwing out Danny Mendick at second base. The injury likely assured that Kelenic would start the season in the minor leagues, but Kelenic is doing everything in his power to prove he belongs with the big club, slashing .333/.429/.667 with eight total bases in 12 at-bats. Kelenic will be a fantasy force to be reckoned with from the moment he's promoted from the alternate site, well worth a top-100 pick.--Doug Goldring - RotoBaller
