Jarred Kelenic Resumes Light Work Wednesday
4 years agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic (knee) has a Grade 2 adductor strain but has begun light work and pool therapy on his road back to playing shape. Kelenic is not yet running, hitting or doing any baseball activities. Before the injury, Kelenic was making a bid to start the year as the regular left fielder with the big league club, and his fantasy value was climbing as a result. While this type of injury is expected to keep Kelenic out for three to six weeks, he has stated his intention to return in just one week. That isn't likely, but the injury could create a buy-low opportunity for some fantasy managers. Kelenic could approach top-100 value this year and should be drafted in all leagues.
