4 years agoBoston Red Sox outfield prospect Jarren Duran hit a home run in his first at-bat of the spring on Tuesday, continuing his emergence as one of the Red Sox's top prospects. The hype train started in 2019 when Duran hit .380 at High-A Salem with 18 steals in just 50 games, and it continued when he impressed at the Red Sox's alternate training site last year with reports of improved power. Even though the Red Sox have a hole in center field, it is unlikely that Duran starts the season in the majors. Still, we should see Duran in the majors at some point this season, and he will be a valuable fantasy player with his power/speed combination when that time comes.--Daniel Fox
