Jarren Duran Starts On Friday, Batting Second
3 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Jarren Duran is getting the start in center field on Friday night, and will bat second against the Yankees. Duran sat out the last two games in favor of Kike Hernandez in center, but now Hernandez will slide to second and allow Duran to rejoin the lineup for the series opener with New York. He's appeared in four games so far, going 2-for-12 with a home run, two RBI and three runs scored to start his MLB career. He's one of the top outfield prospects in the game with a tantalizing power-speed combo, and managers will hope that he can build off his performance on Monday in which he slugged his first career homer.
