Jason Castro Scratched Saturday, Neck Ailment Not Serious
4 years agoLos Angeles Angels catcher Jason Castro was scratched from Saturday’s lineup against the Dodgers due to neck stiffness, although manager Joe Maddon noted that the ailment is considered minor. Max Stassi will catch left-hander Andrew Heaney in Castro’s stead. While Castro has proven to have plenty of pop in his bat, his hot start to the 2020 year is on pace to deliver him new career highs with an .856 OPS and 133 OPS+. He is an excellent choice for those owners in season-long leagues where catchers are required, with his next chance to get back into action coming Sunday against right-hander Dustin May.
