Jason McCourty Hanging Up His Cleats
2 years agoFree-agent cornerback Jason McCourty announced on Instagram on Friday that he's retiring from football after 13 seasons in the NFL. The former 2009 sixth-round pick out of Rutgers made an impact everywhere he played. McCourty begin his career with the Tennessee Titans and spent eight seasons with them before joining the Cleveland Browns in 2017. He then spent three years with the New England Patriots and played in seven games due to a foot injury with the Miami Dolphins in 2021. McCourty will end his excellent NFL career with 744 tackles (598 solo), 18 tackles for loss, one sack, 18 interceptions (one four a touchdown), 108 passes defensed, nine forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries (two TDs) in 173 regular season games (141 starts).
