6 years agoBuffalo Sabres right wing Jason Pominville came to life on Saturday against the Kings, recording three points -- one goal and two assists -- in a 5-1 win. He became the third player from the 2001 NHL Draft to reach the 700-point milestone, joining Ilya Kovalchuk and Jason Spezza. Following some line shuffling by head coach Phil Housley, Pominville found himself on the top line alongside Jeff Skinner and Jack Eichel, taking full advantage of the opportunity. He had recorded just one point -- a goal -- in seven previous outings this season, averaging only 10 minutes on the ice. He logged 14 minutes against the Kings and it's safe to assume that he'll keep his minutes and place on the first line for a while.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
